Niedzica is a village located on the south – east foot of Pieniny Spiskie, 500 – 550 m above sea level. The village is famous mostly because of the well known Niedzica Castle, which beginnings are dated back to the 14th century, and the Czorsztyn Lake created in the second half of the 20th century. When the visibility is good we can admire the Tatras which look very impressive from here. Nowadays, taking into account its location, Niedzica is a well known tourist destination with plenty of people visiting this palce every season, especially in summer. It is worth mentioning that in Niedzica there is a boarder crossing with Slovakia which plays an important role in this region.
